Kwaw Kese’s mother dead; family begs him to help with the burial

Rapper Kwaw Kese’s mother, Yaa Serwaa is dead but revelations following her demise are disheartening.

The family of the musician is calling on him to help bury the mother who died at age 90. Not only are they asking for his help because they are not financially strong to give Yaa Serwaa a befitting burial but also it was the wish of the deceased for her son to lay her to rest when she is no more.

Some family members at Sankori speaking to DJ Emparo of Beat FM accused the musician of abandoning them.

Madam Tiwaah, Kwaw Kese’s elder sister pleaded with him to forgive her of any wrongdoing which caused him to abandon her and the family.

According to Tiwaah, there was a little misunderstanding between them which provoked the artiste to leave the mother and the other relatives to their fate in the village.

“He is my brother but he came to where I was in the village and we had a little misunderstanding. That was during the time his dad died but to err is human and to forgive is divine’’, she is heard saying in the video.”

Although the cause of the misunderstanding was not revealed, Tiwaah disclosed that their mother has passed on and there is no money to foot the bill, hence the need for her brother to step in.

She also promised never to cause trouble with Kwaw should he assist with the burial service, which has been slated for November this year. She further bemoaned the current state of the family house which she said needs urgent renovation before the burial.

However, the 2008 Ghana Music Awards “Artiste of the Year” winner who recently lost his new-born baby at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, seems unperturbed about the situation at the village.
