MUSIGA to resolve Bullet, Nana Kwarteng fight

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is intervening in the misunderstanding between Nana Opoku Kwarteng, father of late Dancehall artiste, Ebony and her former manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet.

MUSIGA is hoping to bring the two parties together to resolve their spat which has played out in the public domain.

President of the Union, Bice Osei Kuffuor (Obour), told Graphic Showbiz they were unhappy with the goings on and will be meeting Nana Kwarteng and Bullet on Wednesday, August 29 at the MUSIGA offices.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng and Bullet have been at each other’s throats after Ebony’s funeral making all kinds of allegations and counter allegations. Ebony’s father claims Bullet cheated him out of proceeds that accrued from the tribute concert held in Ebony’s honour.

He has produced a handwritten note he said was given to him by Bullet indicating how much artistes received to perform at the concert, as well as other expenses.

Almost all the artistes have come out to deny charging for the show.

Nana Kwarteng has in several media interviews claimed that Bullet abused his daughter and he suspects the manager knows something about how his child died.

Bullet has on the other hand called out Nana Kwarteng that he is ungrateful. He also said he has washed his hands off Ebony’s unreleased songs especially the ones she wrote herself.

He also said he was handing over everything of Ebony in his possession to Nana Kwarteng. He has, however, not come out to defend the claims of artistes charging to perform at the show.

A number of celebrities have waded into the matter asking for restraint and appealing that the matter be resolved privately since it is damaging Ebony’s reputation.
