Ashie Moore consoles himself with Akufo-Addo in defeat

Failed National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Chairman aspirant is hinting of a comeback after losing to the incumbent, Ade Coker.

Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore said his first defeat will not discourage him from abandoning his dream of making the NDC very attractive in the Greater Accra region.

Citing President Akufo-Addo’s journey to the presidency as an example, the former MP for Adentan asked: “If Akufo-Addo contested three times before he won, why can’t I”.

The former MP for Adentan Constituency lost to Ade Coker who polled 319 votes in spite of the plethora of allegations he levelled against his fellow contender.

The embattled Chairman managed to sail through after a fierce contest and promised to correct the wrongs.

Ade Coker also said he has forgiven his accusers and called for all hands on deck in their bid to wrestle power in 2020.

But speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Monday, Ashie Moore said though disappointed, he respects the decision of the delegates.

He said perhaps, God made him lose the election in order to prepare him very well for the tough task ahead as he prepares for another comeback.

He said, his promise to secure an office complex for the party when voted as the chairman for the region is still intact.

Ashie Moore said he will help Ade Coker capture all the seven parliamentary seats the party lost in 2016 back to NDC.
