Mark Woyongo Injured In Car Crash

Former Interior Minister Mark Owen Woyongo has survived a near-fatal accident on the Mampong road.

The incident occurred Sunday evening when the former minister was returning from the NDC congress held in the Upper East region.

Mr. Woyongo, who is also the former Navrongo Central Member of Parliament told Starrfmonline.com that he lost control of his Toyota Land Cruiser due to the slippery nature of the road.

The vehicle, according to him, somersaulted several times and landed in a ditch.

He and five other occupants of the vehicle were immediately rescued by residents nearby and rushed to the Mampong Hospital for treatment.

Mr. Woyongo told Starrfmonline.com that he suffered a knock on his forehead and was treated and discharged together with three others who sustained minor injuries.
