It was such a great honour to meet France’s President – DJ Switch

Ghanaian youngest DJ, DJ switch says one of the greatest moments in her life was meeting the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

Videos and photos of DJ Switch having fun with Emmanuel Macron in New York last Wednesday circulated on social media.



The 11-year-old DJ was in New York for the Goalkeepers 2018 ceremony. DJ Switch, who won the Talented Kidz Season 8, was listed as one of the many speakers for the Goalkeepers 2018.

In an interview on Hitz FM’s Cruise Control with host Mercury Quaye, the DJ, who inspires to be a gynaecologist later in life, said she will forever hold on to the memory of meeting the First man of France.

“I was actually done with my performance so I was going to rest and I met him. He asked me to join him on stage. He was amazed I was only Ten years. It was one of the beautiful moments in my life. I was excited and I didn’t feel nervous.

“When I came to the floor to have my lunch, one of the crew members said Naomi Campbell wanted to have a photo section with me. I took photos with Melinda Gates too,” she said.
