The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are expected to use gate proceeds from their friendly game against the Black Stars on Friday to pay winning bonuses should the porcupine warriors beat the Black Stars.
The game which comes off at the Baba Yara Stadium was put together by the Normalization Committee following the cancellation of Black Stars 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Despite the senior national team players promising to play the match for free, the spokesperson of Kotoko, Sarfo Duku tells Starr Sports his outfit will use their percentage of the gate proceeds to settle the playing body.
“There is a meeting going on at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium involving all the stakeholders trying to decide on how the gate proceeds should be shared.
“ After that is finalized we will get to know the percentage that will be given to us and base on that will also take a decision as to how much we will give to our boys as bonus should they win the game.
The Black Stars will play Ethiopia next in the Cup of Nations qualifier in November.
