Eden Hazard eyes Jose Mourinho reunion: Chelsea star wants to work under Man Utd boss

EDEN HAZARD has declared he wants to work under Jose Mourinho again one day as his future at Chelsea continues to remain in doubt.
Eden Hazard has made headlines on and off the pitch this season with Chelsea following his impressive displays under Maurizio Sarri.

The Belgian has seven goals and three assists to his name in the league with a summer of speculation over a move to Real Madrid clearly not having a negative impact on his game.

But Hazard is yet to sign a new deal with the Blues and is keeping fans guessing with his next move after admitting it is his ‘dream’ to play for Real Madrid.
And the former Lille star has seemingly given further indication of where he could end up after leaving the west London club by declaring he wants a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
Hazard played for the Portuguese for two years at Chelsea, between 2013 and 2015, before Mourinho was sacked.

The 27-year-old helped fire the Blues to the Premier League title and the League Cup during his second spell before things turned sour after a poor second season that led to Mourinho’s departure.

And Hazard admits he would like the chance to work with the Manchester United boss once more.

“The last season under Mourinho was not pleasant anymore,” he told Belgian newspaper HLN.
“We didn’t win, we got into a sort of routine, training-training without having fun, it was better for all parties that the collaboration came to an end.

“If I’m now asked one coach with whom I want to work again, then I say: Mourinho.”

Mourinho is under pressure once again, this time at United, with his side already seven points adrift of the Premier League leaders.

The Portuguese has done himself no favours through publicly criticising his players and his rocky relationship with Paul Pogba has been well documented.
Hazard knows exactly what to expect from the former Real Madrid manager and believes the only way to get him on side is to start winning games.

“If the results are poor, he starts criticising his players – you know that, but afterwards I’ve been able to accept that, it’s part of his character,” he added.

“If you win, Mourinho is the best coach you can imagine. Then he is a friend of yours – you can do whatever you want.

“Want one day off? He gives you two. If everything goes well, Mourinho will experience football like me: with ease.
“Even his own image of an extremely defensive coach was not too bad.

“He is far from adventurous like [Pep] Guardiola, but the year in which we became champions, we scored a lot of goals and played good games.

“I do not regret many things in my career, but that I have not been able to work with Mourinho at Chelsea anymore [is one]. We had a team to get a lot of prizes, but we just ended up in a negative spiral.”

Hazard was in action for his country last night as Belgium recorded a 2-1 win over Switzerland as Romelu Lukaku’s brace gave them a narrow Nations League victory.
