DKB explains what he said about Sarkodie at ‘Reign Concert’

Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney popularly known as DKB has expressed surprise at reports that suggest he insulted Sarkodie’s mother.

Hours after Shatta Wale’s successfully held Reign album concert at the Fantasy Dome in Accra on Saturday October 13, 2018, news went viral that DKB had insulted Sarkodie’s mum.

Although the comedian who served as MC for the event passed a derogatory comment which he describes as a ‘vague complement’ during Shatta Wale’s response to Sarkodie, many read meanings into it describing it as an insult to Sarkodie’s mum

In a short video, DKB expressed shock and apologized to Sarkodie, her mum and fans who felt insulted by the news.

“If you guys were offended by these stories, I duly apologise. It’s nothing of that sort. The statement I made is a vague complement. It has nothing to do with insults. When will I insult Sarkodie when everybody knows I’m a major fan of Sarkodie supporting him on every stage…”
