The public interest and accountability committee (PIAC) in its report on the total money obtain from the oil sector revealed a missing amount of four hundred and three million Ghana cedis, which the ministry of finance claimed it has been deposited in a treasury account without providing the date of the transaction and in fact the document of the said transaction.
PIAC went ahead to demand for document of expenditure in drilling the oil, from the ministry of finance to be able to execute their constitutional mandate and the ministry of finance intentionally refuse to provide the documents, for best reasons known to Ken Ofori Atta and his surrogates.
It is very sad for this opaque way of doing things to be happening under the president who promised of bringing a world class transparency governance to the good people of Ghana.
Ken Ofori Atta and the entire ministry of finance must not take the good people of Ghana for granted, PIAC is a mandatory body to protect the public purse, PIAC exist to ensure transparent and accountable governance, so the ministry of finance must provide them with the necessary documents now!!!!!
Let me ask this few questions for the good people of Ghana to know the level of incompetent and corruptible the NPP and Ken Ofori Atta are:
1: Is it mandatory or Constitutional for oil monies to be deposited in treasury accounts?
2: If it is kept in that account to generate interest in the future, my question is:
do we have enough beds in our hospitals?
Do we have enough foodstuffs to fed our FREE SHS beneficiaries in the various secondary schools?
Do we have better roads constructed to every part of Ghana?
Are the Ghanaian people having portable water, good health and in fact comfortable standard of living?
Do we have enough facilities to keep our secondary students in the country?
Then why double tracking them?
Have we been able to meet the financial needs of this country presently?
Why keeping oil money meant to transform lives of the Ghanaian people in a treasury account to generate interest for some few Ghanaians to be beneficiaries?
How is that money secured under the hands of corruptible and money wreckers like the NPP?
What is preventing the minister of finance from providing the document of the transaction, if it is really true that the money is in a treasury account as the ministry claimed?
Why not using the money to solve our basic problems for us to at least be a bit relief from the ongoing hardship and famine in the country?
Why investing monies meant for our social needs?
Beneficiaries of Student loan trust fund are suffering because the trust fund is not having enough funds to disburse to their beneficiaries due to the replacement of the nurses and teachers trainee allowances with “student loan” but our Honourable finance minister is keeping oil money in a treasury account.
What a miserable misplaced priority!!!!!!
My fellow Ghanaians let’s fear the NPP, they have indeed brainwashed us to take power for conspiracy and individual development but not that of our beloved country Mother Ghana.
Two years now down the line none of the following can be pointed at but the minister of finance is keeping 403million Ghana cedis of oil money in a treasury account.
One district one factory
one village one dam
One constituency one million US dollars
Exiting from IMF program
And many other things which was revealed their manifesto.
Where in this country can one boast of a toilet facility constructed by the NPP to at least show value for money?
I told you Ghanaians, you did not believe it, I will repeat it again as we are now feeling the heat, “the NPP is in to create, loot and share, and finally crippled the financial strength of this country by amassing unthinkable wealth to themselves”
Remember this administration is a composition of only friends and family.
Remember Ken signed a bond in this country considering his personal 80% interest in that particular bond and left only 20% for the over thirty million Ghanaian people.
Remember the sister who is the minister of Justice cleared him, despite the findings from corporate, civil and social institutions in that particular case proving Ken guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
Remember the senior brother just reshuffled his ministers but never touched Ken, despite his poor performance in the history of this country.
I hope the good people of Ghana tried this quinine political party and indeed feel their bitterness level?
By the grace of God, we shall soon be given the opportunity to decide, so I will not talk much, let’s keep hoping towards the coming back of our Messiah.
Before I end, I’m calling on the media and the general public to have interest in the missing of this four hundred and three million Ghana cedis, let’s all champion this course with PIAC.
the minister of finance and the ministry must release the needed documents to PIAC to carry on with their constitutional mandate.
Thank you all.
God bless Mother Ghana.
