Jose Mourinho Man Utd rant in FULL: Boss on Pogba, Chelsea, Real Madrid move AND Ronaldo

JOSE MOURINHO has hit out at questions set to him in Manchester United’s pre-match press conference today.
Manchester United host Juventus at Old Trafford on Tuesday in a crunch Champions League game.

The match takes place in the shadow of a number of controversies that loom over United.

Paul Pogba continues to labour under Portuguese manager Mourinho, while only two days ago Chelsea coach Marco Ianni celebrated in front of the boss during the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford in a Juventus shirt for the first time.
And today reports in Spain claim Real Madrid are open to appointing Mourinho as their new manager if and when Julen Lopetegui is sacked.

Mourinho hit out at the questions set to him today in a rant triggered by the mention of Pogba.

Asked if Pogba had developed as much as he would have liked over the past two years, Mourinho said: “I don’t like this press conference, I don’t like to talk about individuals.”

He then went on to address other issues irking the boss.
“I don’t want to speak to the Spanish journalists because they are only interested in Real Madrid and Ronaldo,” he said.

“I’m going to play against one of the biggest teams in the world and that’s what motivates me and brings me here and I think the press conference is going in other directions and if it is I want to go in other direction.”

There have been calls – led by former Manchester United player Phil Neville – for Ianni to be sacked for inciting the United bench on Saturday.

But Mourinho says he accepted Ianni’s apology and that should be the end of it.
“I’m serious. I want to thank (Maurizio) Sarri for his honesty and Chelsea for it’s honesty too,” he said.

“But I’m not happy that it’s going to far with a young boy.

“I don’t think he deserves more than what he got. I accept his apology. I think he deserves a second chance not to be sacked and he went to a situation that in the end he recognised he was wrong.

“I hope they don’t disturb the career of a young guy and that’s the end of the story. The minute he apologised. But I would like the boy to go through more than that. I hope they let the kid to.”
Mourinho to Real Madrid
Mourinho had earlier responded to a question about the Real Madrid post – which may become available sooner rather than later.

Julen Lopetegui is supposedly set to be axed after Tuesday’s Champions League game between Real and Plzen.

But Jose Mourinho has called out the speculation, claiming he is happy at United.
“I’m happy here and to see out my contract and I would like to stay after my contract runs out as well,” he said.

“All I’m thinking about is United.”

On Ronaldo
And, when pushed on Ronaldo, Mourinho said: “I thought Cristiano is on a level where he doesn’t have these questions and these answers.

“He was one of the best players of all time and no one can say different than that, it’s as simple as that.”
