Controversial Musician and supporter of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwame Asare Obeng otherwise known as A-Plus says he is unfazed by a threat from the Director General of the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Mr. Kwame Owusu to drag him before the court.
Mr Owusu at a press conference on Tuesday claimed the musician is embarking on a deliberate image-smearing campaign against him and therefore dropped a hint of dragging before the courts to salvage his hard-won reputation.
In his argument, the documents from the GMA making the rounds on various media platforms were doctored by some faceless persons just to create an impression he is not transparent in his dealings at the authority.
He stated that claims the authority spent ten thousand six hundred and fifty-two cedis, five pesewas (GHC10,652.05) on eight persons in a single meeting is a misrepresentation of facts and misleading reiterating his legal threats.
But A-Plus in response on Wednesday morning said, “I am ready for any legal battle on this matter, he should go ahead and sue me. Does he know the number of times people have threatened to sue me but never went ahead with it? He should find out. I am being a citizen and not just a spectator. I will continue to expose rot in the country irrespective of the government in place.”
