Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta said government is not happy with the standards of living of Ghanaians.
Reading the 2019 budget in Parliament,he said the policy of government “is not to stand and throw its hands in the air but to implement policies that would positively affect the people.
He also said they(government) are aware several Ghanaians are still living in poverty and are very unhappy about the situation.
Reacting to that, Mr Offor Atta said the President believes he was elected to work hard and that is what he intends to do by the end of their tenure.
According to the finance minister, the 2019 budget will stabilize the economy, protect the public purse and create more jobs.
The Minority however has predicted doom and hell for the budget, but the government says the 2019 budget will offer hope.
