Editor-in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has said the Energy Minister John Peter Amewu may be sacked if power crisis ‘dumsor’ returns.
The recent power outages triggered fears that the erratic power supply that plagued the country for three years some time back has returned.
“When the Akufo Addo administration assumed office we had left ‘dumsor’ behind us, I didn’t know there was any load shedding so we’ve got to be consistent. Now it’s a challenge, the two weeks power outage won’t happen again because it was difficult even though it was two weeks compared to three-four years it’s nothing.
The number of enterprises that collapsed, workers that lost their job, maybe we’ve not done this statistical research properly. If this thing happens again even if it’s three weeks, the head of the Minister might roll,” Abdul Malik Kweku Baako said on News File on Joy FM Saturday.
The Energy Minister has come under fire following reports of power outages in several parts of the country. Despite admitting that problem Mr. Amewu gave assurances that the seeming crisis will be shortlived.
