CAPITALIZED OTI REGION IN THE NKWANTA SOUTH MUNICIPALITY FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE REGION, ABRHAAM BOAFO CALLED ON GOVERNMENT

The Nkwanta south municipality must be given the Oti regional capital for the Oti regional coordinating council (ORCC) to have the needed facilities and the serene working atmosphere to deliver for the following reasons :

1: The Nkwanta south municipality has two bigger hospitals thus ( *medical village and St. Joseph hospitals*) which will serve the heath needs of the people of Oti region very well.

2: Nkwanta south has a very vast acres of lands and ready to release them for the regional administration running.

3: Nkwanta south has five lucrative Banks like ADB, GCB, NIB, GN, NRB and many micro finance institutions these will definitely offer financial supply to the investors and business men planning to storm the Oti region.

4: Nkwanta south has five great senior high schools,(NKWANSEC, NTRUSEC, KYABOBO GIRLS, MISECO, AND COMMUNITY DAY SHS) as a regional capital, these schools will help accommodate the students who will be coming to school in Oti region for now.

5: Nkwanta south on records was the second speedily developing municipality in Ghana, whiles Kasoa district in the central region rated the first.

6: There is peace, harmony, unity and togetherness among chiefs and their members from the various tribes in the area, hence security of the workers in the regional administration is rest assured in the Nkwanta south municipality.

7: Nkwanta south produces a lot of yam, cocoa, cassava and many other raw materials for the consumption of household and firms within and beyond the Oti region, hence the supply of food as a regional capital is rest assured.

8: Geographically Nkwanta south is located in the center of the Oti region, this will strategically help the operations in the region to be more efficient and effective

9: Nkwanta south municipality as the capital of Oti will attract investors to the region, since these investor would like to come nearer to their source of raw materials, Eg eagle beer company will get their raw material which is Cassava in excess in the Nkwanta south municipality, this will attract them to come and open the factory in the regional administration where they will be closer to their source of raw materials.

10: Nkwanta south municipality is highly blessed with amazing tourists sites like Kyabobo national park, shiare water falls, breast mountain at Odomi, crocodile pond at Nyanbong, the magic stone on the way from shiare to chillinga and many others, when the Oti region is capitalized in the Nkwanta south municipality, it will bring more people to area who will spend holidays and leisure times at this tourist sites, this will go a long way to generate revenue for government and increase the national gross domestic product as well.



11: We have two bigger and innovative hotels in the Nkwanta south township and these are Hotel Kilimanjaro and Gateway, with numerous guest houses in the township, these will help accommodate strangers in the regional capital.

12: There are two powerful radio stations in the Nkwanta south municipality, Beyond Fm and Gateway radio these will help champion media relations affairs of the region.

13: There is also a magistrate law court to resolve litigation related issues or cases within the jurisprudence of that law court.

14: There is a traditional council to unite the chiefs and also help resolve issues alternatively among themselves without going to the law court.

The above and many others, are the reasons why the capital of Oti region must be situated in the Nkwanta south municipality.
