It was contract killing, not robbery - Family of murdered Ghana Water Company Manager

The Family of the late Joseph Migal Jinjer, the senior staff of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) who was murdered by unknown assailants while travelling to his hometown suspect foul play in his death.

According to them in an exclusive interaction with MyNewsGh.com, the circumstances surrounding the whole death of the Deputy Distribution Manager of Accra East Region leaves much to be desired saying they may not rule out a possibility of contract killing of their relation.

They are calling on the police to ensure that justice prevails in the death of the man who was murdered in cold blood by suspected criminals who must pay for their actions.

Friends of Joseph Migal Jinjer who is an engineer by training and was an aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Bunkpurugu Constituency are demanding that justice prevails in his death by finding his killers.

“Looking at the posture of Joseph Migal Jinjel with respect to the development of the Bunkpurugu constituency, I am convinced that his assassination will remain a serious threat to all the youths who are poised of contributing our quota to the development of our area unless we his peers ensure that he gets justice.

Immediately I chanced on the information about his death, I called one of our peers who narrated how he was assassinated by a group of people the society prefers to refer to as armed robbers. After listening to his 2-minute narration, I put on my lenses of Sociological imagination and tagged the killers, assassins and not armed robbers as he chose to call them”, a colleague revealed.

MyNewsGh.com on Monday broke the story about the killing of Joseph Migal Jinjer who was travelling to his hometown in the Bunkpurugu District when he was stopped by the hoodlums in the night who after barricading the road with pieces of wood, pulled him out of his cross-country vehicle and shot him to death.

It is gathered that he was taken to the Walewale Government Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival and later transported to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation pending an autopsy.
