Edem Agbana fires NPP Ayawaso Wuogon – “Desperation of the NPP is ridiculous”

The National Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Edem Agbana has criticized the New Patriotic Party for their desperate attempts to clinch the seat of Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

On his recent post, he explained that the votes buying scheme of the NPP and the sharing of money to influence the electorate of the constituency he regarded as unfortunate.

He added that suddenly, roads and streets lights which have been dormant for years are now been fixed in a desperate attempt to sway voters.

“Because of the impending by-elections in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, almost all the roads in the constituency are being fixed. Contractors are on site fixing Dzorwulu & Westland roads. “ he mentioned.

He added that some Market Women within the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency are receiving MASLOC loans , branded waste bins of the parliamentary aspirant of the NPP , Madam Lydia printed on them.

“Waste Bins that have been denied the various households are now being branded with their candidate’s picture & they will start sharing” Mr. Agbana stated.

He was in dismay as the widow of the late Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko openly sharing money to the people in a desperate attempt to win power which he advised young men to be watchful when getting married.

“What is even more shocking is the way their candidate, a supposed widow of the late MP, is openly sharing money to people in her desperate attempts to be an MP while her ‘husband’ is yet to be buried” Edem expressed.

“Politics can expose how insensitive some people can be, I will advice all the young men to choose ‘right ‘ when marrying… your wife can stop mourning you and engage in any desperate attempt to inherit you” he added.

He there called on the people of Ayawaso West Wuogon not to be lured by the money in an attempt to buy their votes but support a Candidate who will be ready to serve them and move forward the Constituency through job creation, supporting the local businesses, promoting of education in the constituency, infrastructure development among others.

Meanwhile, the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election is scheduled for 31st January 2019.
