NAM1 will not go down alone – Blakk Rasta

Reggae artiste Blakk Rasta has hinted that CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, will not go down alone in the wake of his current troubles.

According to him, the embattled businessman will “rise as an albatross around the necks” of every state institution or high profile personality involved, should he go down.

“If Nana Appiah Mensah goes down today, he would rise as an albatross around the necks of the SEC and BoG and the other people who played as compatriots in the game”, Blakk Rasta said.

“Eboboba…those other people who went behind him after introducing him to business in Dubai to sell gold, they went behind him and took the money.

Your names will be coming out soon so that ladies and gentlemen we will know that this is a hider hydra issue,” he added.

Menzgold has had to deal with a lot of trouble following disagreements with the Bank of Ghana (BoG) regarding its operations.

Currently, the company has been forced to halt its collectibles and all other new businesses related to its gold vault market.

This has led to a series of demonstrations by aggrieved customers, who have petitioned President Akufo-Addo to intervene.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has been declared wanted after an Accra Circuit Court issued a warrant for his arrest, while the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has also frozen his accounts.

But speaking on his show on Zylofon FM, Blakk Rasta said, NAM1 was into a legitimate business until the Securities Exchanges Commission (SEC) got involved to disrupt the activities of Menzgold.

He added that the government delegation sent to Dubai to hold talks with authorities there over NAM 1’s extradition is a waste of the state’s money and time.

“If NAM1 has been arrested, what is the Ghana office in Dubai doing? We want to dramatize everything in Rambo style … and at the end of the day, we cry we are broke [as a country],” Blakk Rasta lashed out.
