Koku Anyidoho reveals what killed Atta Mills in new book

Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said a book he co-authored about the life of late President Atta Mills will reveal the cause of death.

Koku Anyidoho said the book which is a biography of late Atta Mills and chronicles his political journey also has Professor Kwamena Ahwoi as an author.

On Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, he said the book also provides insights into the political activism, experiences and what led to the former tax expert’s death.

According to the former presidential spokesperson, he was forced to write the book to put to rest, false accounts over the death of the late president.



“When Professor Atta Mills died, in order not to feel that he has been forgotten and also the narration surrounding his death, together with Kwamena Ahwoi, we decided to write a biography of him to put to rest the twisted narrative about his death,” he said.

The book, which has thoughts of 70 respondents, including ex-President Kufuor, as well as family and classmates of the late Mills will be launched in July to coincide with the 7th anniversary of his passing.

When asked how closely he was to Mills, Mr. Anyidoho answered, “I was extremely close to Mills. Our relationship was just like a father and son relationship”.
