Ofosu-Ampofo, Sammy Gyamfi will spend 5-10 years in prison if found guilty – Maurice Ampaw

Controversial legal Practitioner , Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, has revealed the number of years the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, and two other executives of the party, Mr Sammy Gyamfi and Mr Kwaku Boahen will spend in prison if they are found guilty in court over a leaked audio purported to be the voice of Mr Ofosu-Ampofo in a meeting with NDC communicators.

Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, together with Sammy Gyamfi and Mr. Kwaku Boahen, have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit crime to wit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit crime to wit threat of harm by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.

The CID has said the docket on the case had been sent for allocation which will determine the type of court the case would be heard and the date for them to appear before it.



Answering a question in line with the number of years Mr.Ofosu-Ampofo, Sammy Gyamfi, and Kwaku Boahen are likely to spend in prison if they are found guilty in court, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw told Clifford Ofosu on Hot 93.9FM.

“They have been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime to wit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit a crime to wit threat of harm. Per these charges, if they’re found guilty they would spend nothing less than 5 to 10 years in prison“.Lawyer Maurice Ampaw told Clifford Ofosu

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, sounding extremely disdained advised that” Anyone who will put his/her trust in a politician will die early…Politics is a game…No one should trust any politician…They are wicked, they can go into contract killing because of power…They can do anything for power…they are very very dangerous people”.
