Every song I was featured on in 2018 was a banger – Kuami Eugene

High life and Afro-Pop singer Kuami Eugene has revealed how “by God’s grace” every feature he did in 2018 became an instant hit.

The “Wish Me Well” singer told Amansan Krakye in an interview on Radio Central that he only did his work as a musician and God did the rest.

“I think it’s by God’s grace because when they came that we should do songs, I wrote the choruses and did the verses like I’m doing my work as musician”, he said.

“All the features I’m on were hits, from Adina, Strongman, Dj Vyrusky’s ‘Never Carry Last’, Kwani Kwani, [I mean couple], all the features did great. From Mzvee’s ‘Bend Down’, I’m always happy because MzVee’s ‘Come N See My Moda’ I wrote and co-produced, Adina ‘Killing Me Softly’ I wrote and co-produced, Kwani Kwani I wrote verse and produced it. I was doing my work as musician and God did a miracle”, he revealed.

Surprisingly almost all the songs, if not all, that Kuami Eugene featured on got nominated at this year’s VGMA.

“Kwani Kwani” by Tic, Strongman’s “My Baby”, “Killing Me Softly” by Adina and DJ Vyrusky’s “Never Carry Last” are competing in various categories at the VGMAs.

Music fans and critics have tipped Kuami Eugene as the VGMA 2019 Artiste of the Year.
