A leading estate developer in Accra, Ernest Nunoo, shocked the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu when he descended on the cleric’s New Fadama residence with an assortment of gifts worth GH¢120,000 last Wednesday.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE after the gesture, Mr. Nunoo said he was touched by the Chief Imam’s decision to visit the Christ The King Church as part of the celebration of his centenary – his symbolic gesture.
“I respect anybody who follows the principles of God. We all follow one God and so should not fight among ourselves. The Chief Imam’s gesture is worth emulating because it has the potential of bringing peace to the world,” he stated.
Continuing, he said “I admire all who respect God’s values. The gesture is my way of glorifying God.”
The items he presented to the Chief Imam included expensive set of cutlery packed in a briefcase and a bouquet of flowers.
Those who were present for the presentation could not believe their eyes as was the cleric who prayed for the estate developer for his kind and rare gesture.
Ernest Nunoo is a member of the Osu Presbyterian Church in Accra and his presentation was done in his personal capacity.
