Kidnapped girls will continue to go missing ‘forever’ – Owusu Bempah loses temper over threat

Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah, has in an open display of extreme anger, stated that the three girls kidnapped several months ago in the port city of Takoradi in the Western Region, will continue to go missing.

The girls are 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, last seen on December 21, 2018; 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, last seen on August 17, 2018; and 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, last seen on December 4, 2018.

The man suspected to be behind the kidnappings, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, who broke cell and escaped from the custody of the Takoradi Metropolitan Police Command on December 30, 2018, and was re-arrested by the police on January 4, 2019 was on April 29, this year, sentenced to an 18-month jail term for escaping from lawful arrest.

The controversial prophet, who had earlier indicated that he knows where the kidnapped girls are being kept, but will only disclose their location if the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo calls on him to do so, appears to have lost interest in helping to find the girls.

The self-acclaimed nation prophet’s sudden ‘U-turn’, stems from Mr Michael Hayford’s comments on Tuesday morning on Neat FM.

Mr Hayford speaks for the families of the missing girls.

The man of God took umbrage at the spokesperson’s threat to physically attack him (Bempah) should he fail to reveal the whereabouts of the girls.

“I will slap this man. I don’t mind going to jail because of that man [Rev Owusu Bempah]. What is he telling us (that until the President asks him to, he will not out of his own volition, disclose the whereabouts of the missing girls)?” he angrily questioned in an interview.

His remarks seemed to have incurred the wrath of Rev Owusu Bempah, who in an interview with Kwasi Aboagye on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, dared Mr Hayford to walk his talk – after invoking a dreadful curse on the family.

“The girls will continue to go missing forever,” he swore.
