Oye Lithur confirms she’s being investigated by Special Prosecutor

Former Minister of Gender and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur has confirmed she’s being investigated by the Office of the Special prosecutor.

Mrs Lithur is being probed over a suspected misappropriation of public funds and money laundering (properties in Ghana and South Africa), and misappropriation of public funds and money laundering and suspected breach of procurement processes in an AMA Millenium School project.



Speaking to Joy FM Wednesday, the Human Rights Lawyer though was not ready to comment further on the case revealed that the Office of the Special Prosecutor has already contacted her and taken her initial statement.

“This is an issue that is before the Office of the Special Prosecutor and it’s being investigated and I have attended to that. I have provided my statement and they are investigating, I will have my day in court.”
