In the aftermath of the recent VGMA, many were those who thought Stonebwoy was done for good.

But it doesn’t look like the Sanitation Ambassador of the Ashaiman municipality will allow that to be a restraint of trade in his career.

The Bhimnation president who is promoting self-control with the hashtag #DontLoseControl is readying himself to go mash it up in Kenya on June 8.

Stonebwoy will mount the stage alongside his renowned reggae/dancehall comrades, Morgan Heritage for the Tomorrow Leaders Festival.

Within the past three months, one of the country’s biggest Afrobeats and Reggae/Dancehall exports, Stonebwoy has consistently been making such giant strides across the continent and the world.

The 2019 Nickelodeon Favourite African Star has collaborated and released songs with Kojo Antwi, Praiz from Nigeria as well as Jamaican superstars Tarrus Riley, Chichingching, Jack Frost, Jahmiel and Beenie Man.

And the surprise for Ghanaian music lovers is that Stonebwoy has another collaboration with VGMA’s 2019 ‘Artiste of the Decade’ Sarkodie in the pipeline.

The ‘Tomorrow’ hitmaker’s latest track ‘Shuga’ one of the biggest Ghana-Jamaica collaborations featuring Beenie Man is also receiving remarkable reviews both on the radio and on social media.

The song’s video garnered 500,000 views on YouTube within a week and was also captured in Yahoo Entertainment & Complex UK.

Shuga is also featured on Tidal’s Dancehall Summer & Day Drink playlists, Apple Music’s African Heat and La Vida Loca playlists on Spotify.

It was BoomPlay, Ghana’s #1 Song of the Week, #1 on Deezer’s Afro-Hits and on Apple Ghana’s best of the week all in the month of April.
