Manchester United have reportedly told Romelu Lukaku that he can leave the club.
The Belgian striker has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford and according to reports by The Sun, he held showdown talks with the club on Wednesday during which he was informed he could leave this summer – but only for a substantial fee.
Inter Milan and Juventus are both rumoured to be interested in his services, but United chairman Ed Woodward wants a deal worth just over the £75m they paid Everton for Lukaku just two years ago.
However, he would consider players being part of the swap deal, particularly from Inter Milan, with Milan Skriniar and Ivan Perisic on Woodward’s radar.
Lukaku, 26, who joined Manchester United from Everton in 2017 is yet to hand in a formal transfer request but his agent Federico Pastorelli has made it clear he would love a move to Italy.
