John Mahama hosts Iftar for Muslims

Former President John Dramani Mahama on Friday May 31 hosted Muslim faithfuls to break their fast known as IFTAR at his residence.

IFTAR is an evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast.

Meanwhile, NDC elders led by Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu- Vice Chairman of the NDC Council of Elders, Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, NDC party executives, MPs, as well as other Muslim brothers and sisters were present at the gathering.



The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih- Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Sheikh Umar Ibrahim- Sunna Imam, Nuhu Issah Bandago also represented the Shia Imam and the Council of Zongo Chiefs accordingly.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked participants for sacrificing their time to grace the occasion.

He further entreated Muslims to continually maintain a great bond with their Christian counterparts
