Meet the 20-member Osafo-Maafo led committee that supervised ‘plagiarized’ Ghana Beyond Aid document

The Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Madam Oboshie Sai Cofie, Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta were part of the 20-member committee team that produced the error-ridden document for the Ghana Beyond Aid.

Oppong Nkrumah and Oboshie Sai- Cofie with their experiences in the media industry before moving to the political space, one least expected them to produce a document freight with errors.

Madam Oboshie Sai Cofie serves as an Advisor for the Communication department of the Ghana Beyond Aid.

A section of Ghanaians have lambasted the committee members after they apologized for using a Kenyan picture for the cover page of the Ghana Beyond Aid Charter.

They questioned the kind of supervision that went on before a copy was given to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to launch it in May.




Some Ghanaians who also took to social media asked if no single person out of the 20-member committee was able to detect the blunder which has caused huge embarrassment to the nation arguing that their incompetence is unpardonable.

The incensed social media commentators wondered if the Senior Minister who is the Chairman of the committee read through and appended his signature before it was launched.

Other members of the committee include: Hajia Alima Mahama Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Ignatius Baffour Awuah Minister for Labour and Employment Relations, Prof.Gyan-Baffour Minister for Planning and Dr Yaw Ansu Senior Policy Advisor, Ministry of Finance.
