Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah also known as Shatta Wale has appealed to the president and the powers that be to recognise the influence the two musicians have on Ghana’s youth.
Speaking at a press conference to announce a peace concert which will be headlined by both embattled musicians, Shatta Wale stressed the need for the government to create platforms that will enable them to impact positively on the Ghanaian youth.
He said “Stonebwoy runs a nation and I also run a nation. I will even like to say if the government will allow, they should create a Bhim nation region and a Shatta Wale movement region.”
‘’We control most of the youth in the country which the leaders are trying to avoid, people should just understand this thing that what we are doing today our fans are watching and going to follow as such. People say our fans are crazy and rowdy but we really have nice fans’’ he added.
The two artistes who have been banned indefinitely from the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) have made their followers aware of the fact that they have trashed their differences and are coming together to push music in Ghana.
Adding his voice to the suggestion, said “we have come to the realisation that fans base is very okay in our industry and it is okay to like Stonebwoy and the same time like Shatta Wale.”
