Speaker suspends sitting over Mahama Ayariga’s prosecution

The Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye, has suspended parliamentary sitting for 30 minutes for broader consultation on the prosecution of the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga by the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu.



Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe has ordered lawyers for the Bawku Central to ensure the lawmaker appear in court today, June 4, 2019, by 1pm.

Mr. Amidu is prosecuting the MP for alleged tax evasion.
