Starr Church Olympics: Prison’s Interdenominational Church crowned winners

Cantonments based Prison’s Interdenominational Church showed class to win the 2019 edition of the Starr Church Olympics at the El-Wak Sports stadium in Accra on Saturday, June 8.

They defeated Dansoman based Prayer Embassy Church 4-3 on penalties after the game had ended goalless in regulation time.

Over 20 Churches battled for honours in football, volleyball, basketball, lime and spoon, tug of peace and sack race.

Prayer Embassy of Dansoman took the 2nd spot with the 3rd place going to Osu Apostolic.

Prison’s Interdenominational Church walked away with 50 thousand cedis worth of air time and other goodies from sponsors.



Prayer Embassy also took home 30 thousand cedis worth of airtime with OSU Apostolic getting 20 thousand cedis worth of airtime and other products from sponsors.
