Check out first musician signed onto Ebony’s father’s record label

Father of late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns, Starboy Kwarteng has set up his own music record label, Bony to the World Records and has signed on the first female musician named Kim Maureen.

According to him, setting up the record label isn’t for lucrative purposes but to fulfill the legacy of his daughter who passed away a year ago in a gory accident off the Kumasi-Sunyani highway.

Ebony was a trailblazer in her own way when it came to doing music. She was one of the few female musicians who had more than seven hit songs in the music sphere in one year.

Even in her death, she is still celebrated as the Artiste of the Year as the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards had none after Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy engaged in a scuffle.

Moving forward, Starboy thinks it will just be perfect that he allows Kim Maureen step into the shoes of his late daughter.

He made this revelation in an interview on Adom TV’s After Hours show with Kwame Oboadi3 last Sunday.

“I set the record label up not because of money but to continue my daughter’s legacy. I have no option and I feel she will be happy about it,” he said.

Talking about his new signee, Starboy said, “I have only signed one act. I have provided her all she needs and she is a good singer and sings like Ebony.”

He, however, rubbished rumours that he is having an intimate relationship with her.

Kim Maureen is currently promoting her new song dubbed ‘Bad Gyal Army’, featuring Ebony Reigns.
