I want our music to cross over – Stonebwoy

As he leaves in his trail hit song upon hit song on his music journey, one cannot help but notice a good number of collabos and features the President of Bhimnation, Stonebwoy has embarked on with artistes from outside Ghana.
Some of the acts he has teamed up with include Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Patoranking, Burna Boy, Morgan Heritage among others.

And he tells Showbiz in a chat that the sole aim of all the collaborations is to make Ghanaian music go across the world.

“I want our music to travel beyond the shores of Ghana. Whether we like it or not, we have a lot to offer so far as music is concerned and that is exactly what I intend to do. We need to let the world know what we are made of.

“That is why my team and I are not comfortable when we get one or two wins, we go the extra mile to get things done, do more than we started in order to make that dream a reality.”

Commenting on how it feels like having the opportunity to collaborate with some of the top-notch artistes from across the world such as Sean Paul etc, he said, “it feels great and fulfilling, that your work speaks for itself and you have all these people with you doing great songs together.

“It feels great but it does not mean we should be content with that, it calls for hard work, more dedication, more good things etc.”, the CEO of Burniton Music Group added.

Born Livingstone Etse Satekla, Stonebwoy,31, began making music in his early school days.

Through the support of his family, Stonebwoy participated in Kasahare Level, a rap battle competition. This is where he met Samini who later signed him on to Samini Music Label.
