Ghana have been dealt another injury blow as winger Christian Atsu has been ruled out of the Black Stars clash with Guinea-Bissau following an injury he picked up in the side’s clash with Cameroon.
The Newcastle United star was forced out of the game after just 15 minutes after picked up an early injury and has been ruled out of the game.
According to Coach Kwasi Appiah, the winger has been ruled out of the game and will not be available for the clash with Guinea-Bissau.
“A scan was conducted on the two players – Atsu and Jonathan Mensah – after the game with Cameroon.
“Atsu’s injury looks a bit serious and he will not be ready for the game but Jonathan will train this afternoon for us to take a final decision,” Kwasi Appiah said before the Guinea-Bissau game.
Ghana’s injury toll has now moved to four with Thomas Agyepong already treating an ankle injury while Andre Ayew and Jonathan Mensah remain doubtful for the game.
