Thuram set to make Monchengladbach switch;

 

Guingamp striker Marcus Thuram is set to move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, according to L’Equipe.

The 21-year-old is the son of former France international Lilian Thuram, and has made five appearances for the French Under-21 side.

Arsenal turn down chance to re-sign Bennacer;

According to the Guardian, Arsenal have rejected the chance to re-sign Empoli‘s Ismael Bennacer.

The midfielder made just one first-team appearance for the Gunners after arriving in 2015.

The Algerian has guided his nation to the Africa Cup of Nations final this summer, and has been linked with a move to Milan after Empoli’s relegation from Serie A last season.

Milan opting for Bailly instead of Lovren;

Milan will turn their attentions to Man Utd’s Eric Bailly after being priced out of a move for Liverpool‘s Dejan Lovren.

The Daily Mail claims that Milan want someone to partner Alessio Romagnoli at the back, and that Bailly is the better option due to the United defender having just one year remaining on his current contract.

Everton keeping tabs on Mandzukic;

Everton are waiting to see if Mario Mandzukic will be part of Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans this season, The Telegraph says.

Marco Silva is seeking to strengthen is frontline, and will look to the 33-year-old striker should the Croatian find out he is not a key member of Sarri’s side.

Roma chasing Napoli’s Hysaj;

Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj, but must offload Alessandro Florenzi if any deal is to be completed.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Albanian defender is a major target for Roma, but they may be facing competition from Chelsea and Man Utd for the 25-year-old’s signature.

Solskjaer hoping for one or two more at Man Utd;

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is hoping to sign one or two more players this summer.

The Norwegian pointed to the inflated market conditions as he admitted it has been difficult to get deals over the line.

Emery eyes four new arrivals;

Unai Emery has revealed he expects Arsenal to sign four expensive players ahead of the new season.

The Gunners have only brought in one new player so far this transfer window, securing the signature of Gabriel Martinelli.

West Ham have submited an £45 million ($56m) bid for Sebastien Haller, according to Football Insider.

The London club has made Haller their top target this summer and are set to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt today.

Neymar determined to leave PSG;

Neymar is determined to leave Paris Saint-Germain at “all costs” this summer, claims Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazil star failed to report to the Parisiens’ first day of training and is reportedly looking to push through a deal to take him elsewhere.

A return to Barcelona is said to be his prefered option, but the Catalans are not interested in bringing him back to Camp Nou.

Moves to Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been touted.

Maupay back in training for Brentford;

Neal Maupay has returned to training for Brentford after being sent home from their pre-season tour due to the speculation surrounding his future.

The striker, who netted 25 times in the Championship last term, was photographed in action at the Bees’ training base in west London on Tuesday on the club’s official website.

Maupay had been removed from Brentford’s tour of Austria due to not being in the right frame of mind given the interest in him from a number of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Brighton and Sheffield United.

No contact over Dunk;

Brighton have had no contact from Leicester over Lewis Dunk, reports The Argus.

The centre-back is rumoured to be the Foxes prefered replacement for Harry Maguire should he leave in a big-money transfer this summer.

Dunk could reportedly be sold for around £40 million ($50m) but the Seagulls claim they have heard nothing from their Premier League rivals.

The forward will now complete a medical in Brazil ahead of his move.

Manchester United had reportedly shown an interest in the 23-year-old and had sent scouts to watch him play.

Barca offer Rakitic and Coutinho as part of Neymar package

PSG have not been swayed by the latest offer

Barcelona have offered a package centred around Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho as they look to sign Neymar, according to L’Equipe.

The deal would also include €40m, although PSG remain firm and uninterested in the deal proposed.

Ousmane Dembele has also been linked with a move as a potential make-weight but remains confident that he’ll stay in Barcelona

‘I won’t spoon feed Sanchez;

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is planning on having Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford this season but won’t make any special adjustments for the Chilean.

Sanchez has been linked with a move away from Manchester United, but Solskjaer doesn’t see that as a guarantee.

 

Schar offered to Milan

Newcastle defender Fabian Schar has been offered to Milan, according to Calcio Mercato.

Schar joined Newcastle from Deportivo La Coruna last summer and played 24 matches for the club.

The defender could be bought for €15m (£13.55m/$16.88m).

Inter to meet Man Utd’s £75m Lukaku price;

Inter will meet Manchester United‘s £75 million ($93m) valuation of Romelu Lukaku upon certain conditions, The Sun says.

The Italian side will submit a proposal for a down payment of roughly £40m upfront and payments then spread out over the next two years.

In addition, Inter will request that £15m of that fee be dependent on Lukaku achieving certain bonuses.

Milan interested in Modric move;

Serie A side ready to bring in midfielder this summer

Milan are set to pounce if Real Madrid decide to sell Luka Modric, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The club met with Modric’s agent on Tuesday to discuss other clients, but the Real Madrid midfielder was brought up as part of those discussions.

Real Madrid is hesitant to let him go, but could do so in order to raise a fee and get his wages off the books as part of a busy summer.

Brendan Rodgers says the club has received two bids for Harry Maguire, but neither has been close to the club’s valuation.

The defender is a reported target of Manchester City and Manchester United, but played in Leicester’s preseason opener on Tuesday.

Mangala will be allowed to leave City for free;

Manchester City are willing to let Eliaquim Mangala leave for free this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The defender joined City for £42m from Porto in 2014 and has since been on loan spells to Valencia and Everton.
