Do you know Beyonce? – Shatta Wale quizzes ‘hypocritical’ Sarkodie

Lots of congratulatory messages have poured in for dancehall artiste Shatta Wale since it was revealed that he would be featured on Beyonce’s upcoming album titled, The Lion King: The Gift.

However, the controversial musician believes not everyone congratulating him is genuinely happy about the development and some are out to jack his latest swagger.

Case in point, his rival Sarkodie who on Tuesday tweeted his congratulations to Beyonce and Shatta Wale about their collaboration.

Sark tweeted: “Welcome home Queen @Beyonce officially ???????????? Big shouts @shattawalegh ????????????????????????????????!!! And all our brothers and sisters on there … Big One for the culture”.

Probably still bleeding from the barbs Sark threw his way on his My Advice diss track, Shatta in an interview on Zylofon FM said the emotions behind the tweet was not genuine.

“Right now see this thing happen he come write, welcome home my queen. Is Beyonce your queen? Do you know her? No. I don’t know her myself,” Shatta said.

He added: “Sarkodie has become too known. He was recently on Hitz FM and he was trying to pose big to me. I don’t pose big to people. Music is not about your dress and it’s not about how you speak. I don’t like hypocrites around me. Sarkodie has always been a hypocrite. I didn’t wish him on his birthday. He thinks he can say this so that people will say that he is mature. It is not maturity that writes the music”.

“I don’t want to roll with people like that and I won’t go and retweet your anything for anything cos I don’t need him, he advised me and he needs to advice himself… If today this thing can happen to my life, I don’t think I need you to come and talk about it… I know it wasn’t him because things happy to me that people are happy about, when the thing happened at VGMA did he write anything about it”.
