IGP ordered to proceed on leave ahead of retirement

The Inspector General (IGP) of Police, David Asante-Apeatu has been directed to proceed on leave ahead of his retirement on August 14, 2019.



President Nana Akufo-Addo has asked the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, to serve in an acting capacity until a substantive IGP is appointed.
