Badu Kobi's comment on Ghanaian women is unfortunate - Samini

The head pastor of Glorious Wave International Church, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has come under fire from celebrities and social media users after his bizarre comments about the temperaments of Ghanaian women in marriage.

Commenting on the issue, multi-award-winning reggae-dancehall artiste Samini in an interview on SVTV Africa, said Badu Kobi’s comment is unfortunate and bad for the Ghanaian culture.

“That’s his opinion and freedom of speech now has become easy because of social media. But excuse me to say, it’s an unfortunate statement, he didn’t speak well. Because it’s not his place to show which tribe one should marry from and which tribe one should not marry from. How does he read the bible and where is he leading us to? If something comes up in your mind, he should at least discuss it with his immediate people, so that, he would be thought some sense” he added.

Samini further told host DJ Nyaami that, Africans, especially Ghanaians should be very careful about these prophets who always claim God has revealed something to them.

He noted that Ghanaians should be vigilante about these prophets who claim they’re called into ministry.

The ‘My Own’ hit maker further urged Ghanaians not be carried away by these pastors but rather learn some wisdom from their appalling behaviours.
