In recent times, there have been contention regarding the most relevant persons in Ghana’s rap music space.
It all began when AMG signed rapper declared himself the saviour of rap music. His bold declaration sparked an uproar as several rappers in Ghana began refuting his claim saying there are more relevant people in the rap music scene in Ghana.
Matters only became worse when notable Ghanaian Disc Jockey, DJ Black released his top 50 Ghanaian MCee’s. Several rappers who felt they were ranked wrongly began agitating and declaring foul play..
Now, veteran producer, Hammer, CEO of The Last Two Music Group who is known for grooming some notable Ghanaian Hip Hop and Hiplife artistes, including Obrafour, Tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem etc, was on JOY FM to talk about this list.
According to Hammer, Obrafour, Reggie Rocktone & Sarkodie are the “three Pillars of Rap music in Ghana’’
He said;
“The founder is Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour taught us how it is done and Sarkodie took Ghana rap to the World”
He added
“So these are the three pillars, these are the three impact points of our game…”
