Ghana’s Asekem FC’s talents hit UAE for trials

One of Ghana’s professionally managed division two side, Asekem Football Club, have two of their young talents currently in the UAE for trials in the person of Samuel Asiedu and Abraham Owusu.

The Kumasi based club formed this year are making progressive strides after just eight months on the Ghana Football scene.

With extraordinary talents in their domain, the young club was invited by Ghana’s U-20 side as they prepared for the ongoing AAG in Morocco which they defeated the Satellites by a lone goal and this made the technical handlers of national side to invite four of their key players to train with the team

Ghana Premier League side, Inter Allies also wanting to test their breeds against Asekem also called for a friendly and were also beaten by 1-0.



This club is the brain child of former Kotoko CEO, Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong who is currently the Chairman of the Black Stars Management committee and doubles as the Chairman of Asekem Football Club.

This idea is to help young talents in the Mampong Beposo Area in Ashanti Region not only in Football but in education and other diverse ways.

The club has Kwabena Obeng as the CEO, Apsunian Nana Yaw Kodua Sarpong as the Director and Football agent Nana Kwarteng as the Brands/Marketing Manager.
