Speeding vehicle crashes hawker to death at Okponglo

At least one person is reported dead in an accident at Okponglo near Legon in Accra.

The vehicle was heading from Madina to Shiashi when the driver lost control and skidded onto the pavement knocking down a hawker.



Eyewitnesses say shells of bullets were found in the four wheel drive. Police sources reveal the driver of the car is already on the wanted list of the police after another vehicle he was using last week was impounded over an offense.

The hawker who was hit is said to have died after he was rushed to the 37 Military hospital.
