Ghana police is full of criminals – Kennedy Agyapong

Outspoken MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong, has hit out at the leadership of the Ghana Police and by extension the entire service, describing them as criminals.

The leading member of the incumbent NPP visibly upset, made the allegations on ‘The Seat’ show on Net 2 TV when he reacted to update on the four kidnapped girls from Takoradi.

Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah in the buildup to the investigations of the missing girls assured their families that her team knew their whereabouts and would bring them home safely.

Shortly afterwards, however, she tracked back on her proclamations, indicating that she made the statements to give hope to families of the victims; enraging virtually all Ghanaians.

News of the girls, who have now been declared dead after DNA tests on skeletal remains found at the premises of the key suspect turned out positive, has resulted in a public outcry.

Touching on investigations into the killing of Tiger Eye PI’s Ahmed Suale, Mr Agyapong lambasted the Criminal Investigations Department boss Tiwaa Addo-Danquah for choosing to take the side of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to disgrace him.

He alleged that the latter seems to have something on the CID boss thus her decision to throw him under the bus.

“Ghana police are bogus. It’s only criminals they’ve recruited into the service. They are so corrupt. People are calling for the resignation of Tiwaa, fire her. They are all incompetent, whether they are sabotaging her or not.

I am saying that because Tiwaa made up her mind to disgrace me because I don’t know what Anas has on her. She wanted to sacrifice me for Anas.”
Following the aftermath of the DNA test results of the Takoradi girls proving them to be dead, several Ghanaians have come out calling for the sacking of the CID Boss.

“God don punish you. If she’s fired, she’s fired, and we’ll say it till she is fired. A whole CID Boss comes out publicly to declare knowledge of the whereabouts of the girls and you come back to say you wanted them to be relaxed.

Foolish! And you call yourself a CID Boss? If you were truthful, this idiot would not have insulted me” Kennedy Agyapong barked

The MP for Assin Central also alleged that the former IGP David Asante Apeatu was only appointed after being vetted by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

“Do you see how much disgrace IGP David Asante Apeatu left with?

You allow your executive secretary to go for a position.
The police is compromised, see that they pick a dumb-headed Anas to go and teach.

You know the truth, you won’t say it. You have the guts to go and publish it. Ghanaian police, especially those at the top, they are so corrupt.” He added
