KTI students desert campus after row with teachers

Students of the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) have left the school after chaos broke out between them and teachers Sunday.

A student told Starr News the chaos broke out in the school after some form three students confronted teachers after an improper attire was seized from a student during prep.

Reports say the agitating students vandalised school properties including some teachers bungalow with machetes and other tools they took from the school’s storeroom.



Police is currently maintaining presence in the school, the Manhyia Police Commander ACP Emmanuel Boah told Starr News.

A teacher was reportedly injured in the melee.

Meanwhile, ten students who were arrested following the incident have been granted bail.
