NPP gov’t cares like a mother – Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, says  the NPP government is the only government that behaves like a mother to the nation when in office.

According to her, a government that does not have the heart of a mother can never bring development to its people.

“If you check, the only government that has helped the needy in so many ways is the NPP government. It cares like how a mother cares for her baby,” she said.



The Chief of Staff made the comment at the Ashanti Regional women’s wing conference in Kumasi, noting every government must bring up projects that will sustain the country’s economy, of which she said NPP has portrayed such acts.

“The NPP government is like a mother to her child. So if we are not in government, so many things will go wrong. Therefore, we must remember that we have peace because the government is for us”, she added.

Citing an example of the Free SHS programme, she said the Free SHS has saved most parents a lot of headache especially when, hitherto, they had to go round borrowing money to pay for their childrens’ fees.

She said all parents must take advantage of the programme since it has come to stay.
The Chief of Staff said with quality education such as the Free SHS, one can be independent, explaining that education is not only about making people literate, but also builds and moulds the character of the individual.

She said to live an independent life, education is very important for every individual.
She charged all women in the party to put in all their efforts to ensure that the party retains power in 2020.
