Whom Should I send and who will Go & Preach The Word ?

TAKE UP THE CHARGE – Preach the Word!

Everything in the church of Christ revolves around evangelism. Christians involved in personal evangelism are dependable, good team
players, prayerful, holiness minded and committed to the course of the local Assembly. Evangelism, therefore, is the core value of the church.

All other things done in, and by the church are to help realise this core
value of winning souls for Christ. The main means of winning people
into the Kingdom of God and discipling them is through personal
evangelism. This is what we want to emphasize by tasking each member to produce one disciple.

The Urgent Call – Whom Shall I Send and Who will Go ? –
Isaiah 6:8-9, Matt. 28:18-20. Mk.16:15-18, Rom. 10:14-18, Lk 10:1-3,17-21,
John 17:18- As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the
world.

GO YE – Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been
given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Isaiah 6:6-9
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.ʼ
COMMISSION/ CHARGE / COMMITMENT- A Charge to Keep — Preach the Word in season and out of season – 2 Timothy 4:1-5, Mk.16:15
There is A Charge to Keep – 2 Timothy 4:1-5
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to tables.
But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

WOE TO ME, IF PREACH NOT THE WORD – 1 Corinthians 9:16-18

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship. What is my reward then?
That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the Gospel.



AS WATCHMAN, I WILL ASK HIS/ Her SOUL FROM YOU –
Ezekiel 3:17-18

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel;
therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,ʼ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

PREACHING FROM JERUSALEM TO ILLYRICUM – Romans 15:19
In mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so
that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

NO DELAYS – Acts 9:20
At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of
God.

DONʼT CONFER WITH FLESH & BLOOD- Galatians 1:15-17

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my motherʼs womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those
who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned
again to Damascus.

DONʼT THE WEATHER BUT SOW THE SEED – Ecclesiastes 11O4-6
He who observes the wind will not sow,
And he who regards the clouds will not reap.
As you do not know what is the way of the wind,
Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper,

Or whether both alike will be good.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Acts 2:40-41 – A Vital Church Grows And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

Constant & fervent Prayer for the converts
Convince him/ her to come to Church.
Help him/ her to be baptized in Water.
Help him / her to receive genuine HolySpirit Baptism.
Let him or her join a cell, ministry, get involved in other activities in the church
