Floods submerge Central region in Wednesday morning downpour

Several Communities have flooded following a heavy down pour that hit the Central region Wednesday morning.

The rains which set in around 12 am has wrecked severe damage with many struggling to come out of their homes.

Not only are many streets flooded but several homes have also been affected by the floods.

Notable communities that have been affected are Cape Coast and the Elmina municipality .





Villages around the University of Cape Coast Community such as Amamoma ,Apewosika ,Kwapraw and even Pedu in the interior of Cape Coast were not left out of the havoc.

At Elmina , places like Abina and Atonkwa have also been affected with many trapped in their rooms .

Meanwhile , the Public Relations officer of NADMO Eric Arthur is calling for calm as the outfit is putting things in order to rescue the affected .

He explains that the outfit is liaising with the security agencies especially the fire service to rescue the affected as the out now have some constraints to reach out to all the affected.
