NPP man who joined NDC fished out as Wontumi’s mole inside NDC Manifesto C’ttee

Barely hours after Ashanti regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Wontumi said he has planted a mole in the recently outdoored opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ashanti Regional Manifesto subcommittee, a mole has been fished out, MyNewsGh.com reports.

The said mole, one Isaac Afreh who joined the NDC in the Ashanti Region only two weeks ago, managed to have his name added to the Regional Manifesto team. The young man involved contested for Constituency Treasurer in the Atwima Nwabiagya constituency NPP elections held recently but lost.

It also appears to be a deliberate plot to fix him on the important NDC committee as his surname “Afreh”, was misspelt “Afeh” to give the impression that it was a different person.

MyNewsGh.com has however obtained credible recordings of an interview on Fox FM in which the said Isaac Afreh was confessing he was the same person who contested NPP treasurer and now serving on the NDC committee.

As to how he managed to “rise” so fast in the NDC in the Ashanti Region, only NDC executives can answer. So far, no answer has been forthcoming.

Attempts by MyNewsGh.com to reach them for comments proved futile.

I’ll get updates about Manifesto secrets -Wontumi

Chairman Wontumi yesterday said he has several NDC members who owe allegiance to him and he has planted moles in key places including the NDC regional manifesto committee so that they can give out information to the NPP. He added that he has put in place measures to weaken the NDC in the Ashanti Region.

“I am really doing that and have a lot of spies in their camp. It makes it easier for me to operate and tap into whatever information I want from them…. I have strategically placed my own people in the NDC when they recently appointed their regional manifesto committee members,” he boasted on Okay FM’s Ade Akye ebia.

“If any group in the NDC has made an observation that the recent actions of their executives in my region are bent on harming their (NDC) fortunes, I will say yes. I won’t hide from my act- I have been doing it to make the New Patriotic Party stronger in our stronghold,” he added.
