‘NDC betrayed me’ – Koku Anyidoho speaks

Former Spokesperson at the Presidency (2009-2012) and now Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho has revealed that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) betrayed him during his detention by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) last year.

He argued that his detention by BNI was a “cross he carried for NDC”.

According to Koku, the same NDC which hailed him when he was defending the party changed tone when he got into trouble. He said NDC tagged him a “loose talker”.

The former NDC General Secretary said he learnt his lessons when he was released and vowed he will not be an “idiot” again.

“The same NDC I have been defending, they tag me a loose talker when I got into trouble. The same NDC … … So I said I won’t talk again. They can also go and talk? I am bold I will speak my mind but I am not a fool” He said in an interview followed by MyNewsGh.com.

“I am not an idiot. They call me ‘the bull the bull’, The bull is not a stupid animal? They want me to wake up and be fighting everybody. They want me to insult the President. Why. I won’t insult the president… I Carried that cross on… there are lessons that we learnt in life. I refuse to be angry,” he added.

He explained that he was not bitter about anything or anyone but was disappointed in the NDC for being ill-disciplined.

“I am not a bitter person… NDC is dying because of indiscipline… NDC is not a cult,” he added.

Many members of the opposition NDC, especially those who risked their lives to protest for Koku’s release will likey feel betrayed rather.
