U23 AFCON: Meteors captain, Yaw Yeboah fit to face South Africa

Black Meteors skipper, Yaw Yeboah will lead Ghana against South Africa on Friday with the final automatic ticket to the 2020 Summer Olympics Games in Tokyo still up for grabs.

The mercurial playmaker took a knock in the semi finals game with Cote D’Ivoire and was replaced by Frank Arhin in the 88th minute as Ghana lost the game on penalty shootout.

Various concerns were raised whether the attacking midfielder who has netted twice in the competition will be fit for the third place game on Friday but Ghanacrusader checks from the team’s camp confirmed that Yeboah is fit now and has participated in all of the teams training.

He was taken off the game against the Ivorians in the final minutes of regulation time so as not to worsen the slight injury.
