I'll partner Akua Donkor if ........ - "Hon. Apɔnkye" reveals

A defeated assembly member aspirant for Nima/Adukrom electoral area in the Asawase Constituency of the Ashanti Region (AR), Ibrahim Adabor, popularly known as “hon. Apɔnkye” has revealed that he would not hesitate to partner Madam Akua Donkor if she calls on him to join his political party.

“Waaaaoooow! that’s my biggest dream, in fact I’m waiting to see that day, I mean the day I will receive that call from Akua Donkor to join her party…..I cherish her so much because we seem to be having same agenda…..we both advocate for twi to be speaken at our Parliament and even presidency so boss, I will really join her if she calls on me,” hon Apɔnkye noted when responding to a question from Benya FM’s morning show host, Sir Kweku Kaunda, on whether or not he would hesitate to join the Ghana Freedom Party’s founder in her bid to become president.

Honourable Apɔnkye had already indicated that he would go to the Apex Court to seek justice over his defeat in the just ended District Assembly elections.
According to him, he was rigged by the Electoral Commission (EC) officials and the National Democratic Congress’ representative who contested in the competition.

Despite the fact that the district assembly elections are nonpartisan, honourable Apɔnkye believes the two major political parties sponsored candidates to contest hence his defeat.

His campaign promises

Ibrahim Adabor, who is a barber by profession further defended his campaign promises and denied that his people voted against him because the electorate saw him as someone who was not serious.

“I still stand by my promises……they’re achievable…..how much is corn dough and dust bins?” he queried adding, “even on the election day, I prepared porridge for all the electorate in my electoral area with just ₵20.00…. even the EC officials and the security officers enjoyed some.”

Honourable Apɔnkye had, prior to the elections, promised his electorate with among other things, free breakfast for everyone everyday, dustbins at every 20metre walking distance in his electoral area to improve sanitation, free hair cuts for children and free transportation for persons above 70years.
