DON’T ALLOW AKUFFO ADDO TO DEMOLISH GHANA, THERE IS NO KWAME NKRUMAH TO REBUILD IT FOR US AGAIN, COUNCIL OF STATE AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS MUST BE PROACTIVE

Article 91(1)(2)(3)(4) of the 1992 constitution stated comprehensively the functions of the council of state, and one of its key functions is to advice government on relevant matters of national progress and development and possibly made recommendations for the president.

The autocracy of Nana Akuffo Addo is keeping the council of state and other constitutionally mandated bodies silent on burning issues of national concern, an example is the imposition of the compilation of a new voters register at the cost of $4m on Ghanaians in the expense of many problems confronting the people making lives uncomfortable and socially unfriendly for us.

Members of the council of state are failing to advice the Kyebi Fidel Castro due to his autocratic nature, Ghanaians are expecting the council of state to advise Akuffo Addo to talk to his ministers of elections, Jean Mensa and Bossman Asare and Co to take a second look at the new voters register compilation, because there won’t be enough time and resources for political parties especially the opposition parties to mobilize people, and moreover it’s a total waste of our scarce resources which supposed to be used to solve pressing socioeconomic problems facing the electorates, such as water problems, good roads, good healthcare, and many others, my constituency for instance doesn’t need a new register, we need water to survive, for the past three years Nkwanta south municipality hasn’t seen water, the situation keeps excruciating on daily basis, yet government in collaboration with the electoral commission want to spend $4m to compile a new register just to create chaos and confusion in the country.



The government of Nana Addo the Kyebi Fidel Castro has sidelined the council of state, intelligence gathered from a reliable source shows Akuffo Addo does not consult the council of state in anything he does, which supposed not to be the case as far the constitution is concern.

Akuffo Addo is emotionally ruling this country like his personal property, which I think is unfortunately happening as the results of he not getting proper advice, yet we have a council of state which is constitutionally mandated to advise him, the arrogance of Nana Addo is not helping at all, an example of his arrogance and autocracy is the issuance of a white paper to reject and rubbish the recommendation of Emile shorts commission on the Ayawaso west wuogon bye election situation where hoodlums were dressed in national security uniforms with their ear rings and armed to distract a national exercise, the Kyebi Fidel Castro refused to bring the perpetrators to book as recommended by an independence committee formed by himself.

The council of state, peace council, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders of this country should know one thing, with their present silence on some vital and sensitive issues which demands their reactions in this country and they are not doing, Akuffo Addo is likely to change the history of this country if care is not taken, his plans ahead of the 2020 general election is a national security threat, and I wonder if we can get another Kwame Nkrumah to rebuild a new Ghana like we have today after Akuffo Addo demolished it.

I’m really shocked the way the Christian council, peace council, council of state, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders are not showing any interest to speak to the new voters register issues, if all these institutions are available and decide to keep quiet on such sensitive matter, what’s their value and relevance now?

Something that can dismantle the peace we are enjoying, something that can destroy your traditional kingdoms/chiefdoms, something that can cause discomfort to Christians and other religious faiths, something that can invite mayhem and therefore genocide, then the above named state institutions does not want to have interest in that, Ghana is older and bigger than Jean Mensa, Bossman Asare and Anokye, as well as bigger than Akuffo Addo, if all of us want to seat aloof for them to destroy it, then country broke oooo country no broke ooo we all dey inside
